Last week, supported by the «Donor Odesa» project, a mobile blood donation drive was organized at City Clinical Hospital No. 1, facilitated by the Odesa Regional Blood Transfusion Station team.

Approximately 30 employees and visitors participated in the event, donating blood. The staff of City Clinical Hospital No. 1 has previously engaged in blood donation efforts both on-site and as part of the citywide initiative «Donate Blood — Save Lives».

Since the onset of the full-scale war, the demand for donor blood has remained critically high, as it is essential for saving injured defenders of Ukraine and other patients.

Any interested groups can organize mobile blood donations at their own facilities. Here’s how:

1. Gather a group of 25-50 people willing to donate blood and ensure they have no absolute contraindications or temporary restrictions.

2. Schedule a convenient date by calling 0668422387 or messaging on Telegram @donorodesa.

3. Follow the dietary restrictions and medication guidelines the day before donating blood.
