A graduate from Odesa's hockey school has become the champion of an international tournament that took place in Austria. This event is part of the preparation for the U18 World Ice Hockey Championship in Division 1A.

Representing the national team of Ukraine was Ilya Bobrov, the main goalkeeper who hails from the Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School "Dzhinistra" in Odesa.

In the tournament, Ukraine faced teams from Denmark and the host nation, Austria.

In the first match, Ukraine confidently defeated Denmark with a score of 3:0.

The Odesa goalkeeper made 25 saves, securing a clean sheet for his team.

In the second match, the Ukrainians earned another convincing victory against the hosts, Austria, with a score of 7:1, thanks to the solid performance of the goalkeeper.

Ilya Bobrov and his coach Ruslan Korop received Honorary Certificates from the Executive Committee of the Odesa City Council during the "Sports Capital" award ceremony in 2025 for their outstanding achievements in sports.
