The Department of Health of the Odessa City Council, in collaboration with the City Health Center, continues to implement preventive programs in the city's medical facilities to identify and prevent common diseases. In November alone, over 1,000 residents of Odessa participated in these initiatives.
Recently, a Prevention Day focused on the early detection of eye diseases was held in Odessa's health institutions for both adults and children. A total of 360 adults and 252 children received examinations, leading to the discovery of over 400 cases of eye diseases, including:
✔️103 cases of retinal diseases,
✔️37 cases of cataracts,
✔️17 cases of glaucoma, along with other vision problems.
Additionally, in honor of International Radiologist Day, Odessa's doctors conducted a Prevention Day for respiratory diseases. As a result of this event, 427 individuals were examined, of which:
✔️229 individuals underwent fluorography,
✔️198 patients received radiological examinations.
This allowed for the first-time identification of 18 cases of respiratory diseases, including 6 suspected cases of tuberculosis, 7 cases of pneumonia, 5 cases of chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, and 1 case of emphysema.
All patients with identified health issues were referred to specialist doctors.
