Starting from the next academic year, a new educational program will be launched in the Odesa region. Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov and the rector of ONU, Vyacheslav Truba, signed a memorandum of cooperation. This initiative is led by the Department of Education and Science, with the goal of engaging youth in the study of natural sciences.

Schools will now have the opportunity to enter into agreements with the university to invite instructors in physics and other disciplines. This collaboration will cover both pre-profile training (grades 7–9) and profile education (grades 10–11). Furthermore, scientific research activities will be organized for students showing interest in these fields.

The city council noted that the Institute of Physics has all the necessary resources for providing quality education, including qualified specialists and equipped laboratories. This will help address the shortage of teachers in schools, particularly in the field of natural sciences.
