On April 29, 2025, the Odessa City Council initiated an inspection of the environmental and sanitary condition of the Black Sea gully from the Old Lustdorf Road to the «Chornomorka» beach.

The commission included representatives from various departments, including ecology, urban utilities, and specialists in territorial engineering protection and the municipal enterprise «City Roads».

The inspection uncovered unauthorized discharges of wastewater from private households directly into the gully, although no discharges into the sea at the «Chornomorka» beach area were recorded.

As a result of the assessment, the Odessa City Council's services were instructed to urgently eliminate the identified illegal discharges and to locate those responsible.

A further inspection of other sections of the gully is planned to prevent similar incidents.
