On July 28, Ukraine officially commemorates the memory of its defenders, volunteers, and civilians who endured the horrors of captivity and never saw liberation. Tortured, executed, and destroyed, they left us not only with pain but also with the strength to continue fighting.
This day was established by a resolution of the Verkhovna Rada. It serves as a reminder that freedom comes at a high price.
We remember not only the military but all citizens who became victims of brutality, maintaining their dignity even in the darkest moments.
