The Odesa Youth Theater named after Yuri Olesha has officially been granted academic status, marking a significant contribution to the cultural landscape.

Since 1919, the title of «academic» has been awarded to the oldest and most prestigious theaters in Ukraine. The Odesa Youth Theater was established in 1930 by graduates of the Odesa Theater School.
