Odesa's Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov participated in an international event focused on security and intelligence held in Madrid.

From May 21 to 23, the 29th Parliamentary Forum on Security and Intelligence is taking place in the Senate of Spain, chaired by Robert Pittenger - a U.S. Congressman and close ally of President Donald Trump.

This forum is one of the largest international platforms for discussing global security issues.

This year's meeting in Madrid brings together parliamentarians, mayors, politicians, and experts in defense, digital technologies, and energy from various countries.

Ukraine is represented at the forum by members of parliament and Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov.

A wide range of topics is being discussed, from the geopolitical implications of artificial intelligence implementation to cybersecurity, transnational crime, and human rights protection.

Speakers at the forum include Spanish Senator Francisco Javier Marquez, Senator Jose Antonio Monago Terrasa, and Congressman Victor Gonzalez Coelho de Portugal, as well as representatives from various governments.

Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov contributed to discussions on municipal security challenges, particularly under wartime conditions.

Odesa is at the forefront of protecting infrastructure and international cooperation, making participation in such forums crucial for strengthening ties with international partners.
