From November 1 to 3, the village of Kolodenka (Rivne region) hosted the Ukrainian Championship and the open nationwide tournament class A named 'Children of Ukraine XXV' in taekwondo.

This event served as a qualifier for the European Championship scheduled in two weeks in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

A total of 140 athletes participated in the Ukrainian Championship, while 465 taekwondo practitioners competed in the tournament for awards from across the country.

Odessa athletes performed exceptionally well, bringing home 6 medals from the national championship.

The champions included Renata Podolyana and Maria Labuzova from the higher sports school 'Olympiec'. Bronze medals were won by athletes from the Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 17: Oleksandr Labuzov, Olga Schwartz, Viktor Semanyuk, and Yulia Gamurar.

Young athletes and cadets from Odessa also achieved remarkable results in the open nationwide tournament class A 'Children of Ukraine XXV', securing 8 medals.

The tournament winners were Anastasia Volosenko, Zlata Volosenko, Danila Komarov, Daniil Modnov, and Matviy Lukashuk. Bronze medals went to Ivan Cherevichny, Nazar Lukashuk, and Lina Yeremenko.

The coaches who trained these athletes were Yulia Podolyana and Viktor Semanyuk.

In Odessa, at the CYSS No. 17 and CYSS No. 7, there are 178 taekwondo athletes.
