On the morning of May 10, an event named "Moment of Silence" took place in the center of Odesa. At exactly 9:00, police temporarily closed part of Soborna Square, urging drivers and pedestrians to stop and honor the memory of the fallen. Participants took to the road with signs to highlight the importance of collective remembrance.
The organizers of the "Moment of Silence" shared this information with reporters from Novyny.LIVE.
Moment of Silence in Odesa
The people of Odesa gathered together to remind everyone — we do not forget. Passersby joined in as well. For many, this has become a daily routine.
Organizers note that they are seeing more participants each morning. People are stopping at bus stops, in cafes, and at markets. Even drivers are halting their cars in the middle of the streets.
Additionally, it should be noted that tributes are held daily in all cities of Ukraine, as per presidential decree No. 143/2022
"On the nationwide moment of silence for those who died as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine".
