Direct quote from the minister: "Rescuers extinguished about 40 fire outbreaks in 9 regions of the country. Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia were under heavy attack from Russia."

Kyiv suffered the most, with rescuers working at 13 locations. As of 7:30 AM, 9 deaths and over 70 injuries have been reported in Kyiv.

Details: According to Klymenko, emergency operations continued under the threat of further attacks.

"In Zhytomyr region, the enemy struck at rescuers who arrived to extinguish fires. A 39-year-old rescuer was injured," Klymenko concluded.
