Since the outbreak of the full-scale war, 661 children have been killed and over 2200 injured in Ukraine. This was reported by Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko via Telegram.
On the 1342nd day of the war, prosecutors are investigating 5363 criminal cases related to these crimes.
During this time, Russia has: killed 661 children; injured 2203 children; destroyed or damaged over 4500 schools, kindergartens, and 1294 hospitals; abducted and deported more than 19 thousand Ukrainian children; committed at least 23 cases of sexual violence against children" - stated Kravchenko.
He emphasized that each case is a testament to a deliberate policy of terror, an attempt to eradicate Ukrainians as a nation.
The Prosecutor General noted that UN Security Council Resolution No. 1261 identifies six of the most serious crimes against children during war, and informed that Russia commits all six daily in Ukraine before the eyes of the world.
The head of the OGP reported that Ukrainian prosecutors, in collaboration with law enforcement agencies and international partners, are investigating every crime.
"We will do everything possible to hold all war criminals accountable, from the perpetrators to the leadership of the Russian Federation. Time will not be a hindrance. These crimes do not have a statute of limitations," he stated.
