From 2022 to 2024, during the martial law period, many cities in Ukraine, including Odesa, have seen fare increases in public electric transport.
The current fares were set in 2021, but rising operational costs have necessitated a review.
Due to significant hikes in spare parts and materials, the gap between justified expenses and current fares has widened, prompting a reassessment of transport tariffs.
CP “OMET” has recalculated the fares in compliance with the current regulations, concluding that the fare for one passenger ride is 17.69 UAH.
The calculations were verified by the Department of Economic Development, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
To maintain quality transport services, a new fare of 15.00 UAH for a single ride will be implemented starting December 1, 2024.
Discounts for students and schoolchildren remain intact: the cost of a ride for students will be 4.00 UAH, for schoolchildren 2.00 UAH, and for other passengers 7.00 UAH.
The fare for public transport will rise to 20 UAH within the city and 40 UAH for routes extending to the 6th km of Ovidiopolskyi Road.
