As of August 9, 2024, extensive renovation works commenced at Heroes' Tribune Square (Tolbukhina) in Odesa.

The project was carried out in phases and included the repair of the roadway, external lighting, and tram tracks.

Odesa's mayor, Hennadiy Trukhanov, noted that new modern trams had arrived in the city, necessitating repairs on certain sections of the old tracks to ensure their safe passage.

The renovation at Heroes' Tribune Square was completed ahead of schedule. With the upgrading of the rail tracks and the elevation of the asphalt surface, the traffic capacity for vehicles has significantly improved.

Additionally, traffic lights have been adjusted based on preliminary traffic analysis.

Moreover, the square has been beautified - high-quality road markings have been implemented, and the lighting has been replaced with more efficient and economical options. Consequently, movement in this area has become safer at night, and tram operations are now smoother and quieter.
