In educational institutions under communal ownership in Odesa, festive events are held for St. Nicholas Day and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which traditionally include celebrations for children and the charity event #WarmWave.
As part of this initiative, representatives of the friendly educational family of the city bake treats, fill medical kits with supplies, gather essential items and food, donate money, and weave camouflage nets for our defenders.
Children create talismans and gifts, write letters of support and draw pictures to send to the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who defend Ukraine's borders and ensure our peace every day.
Educational institutions in the city host events dedicated to the heroic history of the Ukrainian people, the struggle of its defenders for statehood, as well as exhibitions of children's drawings and creative works titled "We Are Proud of Ukraine's Defenders".
A residence for St. Nicholas has also opened, where every visitor can immerse themselves in a winter fairy tale and write a letter to the magical figure.
Members of the Parliament of High School Students of Odesa, along with children of fallen heroes, decorated patriotic Christmas trees on the Alley of Heroes with handmade ornaments.
With hope for victory and faith in a peaceful future, Odesa educators are carrying out significant initiatives aimed at national-patriotic education, promoting the military achievements of Ukrainians, and honoring the courage and heroism of Ukraine's Defenders.
