Healthcare and social service representatives in Odesa participated in a seminar focused on identifying developmental disorders in young children. The event was organized by the Odesa Regional Organization for Medical-Psychological-Pedagogical Assistance "Healthy Society" as part of the project "Resilient Families, Resilient Future", supported by UNICEF.

The main goal of the seminar was to implement new approaches to developmental screening and to assess families' needs for early intervention services.

Early intervention is a comprehensive support system for families raising children from birth to four years old who have developmental disorders or are at risk of such disorders. Integrating developmental methods into daily life and enhancing family members' skills help correct identified issues and aid the child in socialization.

"Odesa is known for its advanced implementation of early intervention services. Collaborative efforts among specialists will improve the health and quality of life for children in need of these services," said Tatiana Kutas, UNICEF's early intervention project coordinator.
