A new section called "Payment for Construction" has been added to the Diia app as part of the "eRecovery" program.

This information comes from the press service of Diia.

"If your house was destroyed due to military actions, you can build a new one on your land with state compensation under the "eRecovery" program," the announcement states.

The service is available for those who lost their private houses as a result of military actions and have land where a new one can be constructed. Building is allowed on your land in controlled territories where there are no active military operations.

To receive payment:

1. Submit a compensation application through the Diia app or at a local administrative service center (CNAP). After review, the compensation amount will be assigned and will appear in your Diia account.

2. Register a notification about the start of construction works on the Diia portal or at the CNAP.

3. After receiving the compensation, cancel the ownership rights to the destroyed property.

4. Submit a request for payment in the Diia app: Services → eRecovery → Payment for Construction.

You need to update your bank details and select the object where construction is taking place according to the previously submitted notification about the start of works.

Payments will be made in two installments of 50%. The first installment must be spent on 90% of its amount and confirmed in Diia. This must be used within 18 months, while both installments should be used within 36 months from the moment of receiving the first one. Otherwise, the payment will revert to the state.

Reminder:

Through Diia, you can submit an application to the Register of Damages for compensation for emotional suffering due to the loss of a close family member.

Ukrainians affected by Russian aggression since February 24, 2022, have been given the opportunity to submit six additional categories of claims for compensation to the international Register of Damages through Diia.

The Diia app now includes an extract from the Register of Damaged and Destroyed Property concerning the fact of housing destruction or an application submitted for eRecovery.
