The Podil community has unveiled an innovative mobile power source, consisting of a diesel generator, a photovoltaic system, and batteries. This equipment aims to increase the resilience of the community during power interruptions.

This was announced by the Odessa Regional State Administration.

In the event of a blackout or damage to the power grid, the mobile unit can quickly provide electricity to essential facilities.

The unit has a capacity to support up to 5,000 subscribers, ensuring the operation of hospitals, schools, and other critical facilities during emergencies.

In the future, such units may be deployed throughout the Odessa region, creating a network of mobile energy solutions for communities.

“The issue of energy security is becoming one of the key priorities. The Odessa region, as a strategically important area, demonstrates how collaborative efforts can not only respond to current threats but also lay the foundation for a sustainable future,” stated the Regional State Administration.
