The press service of the Administration of Seaports of Ukraine reports on a new initiative.

This high-speed boat will assist in minimizing the expenses of the «Delta-Pilot» branch by lowering fuel consumption and improving the timely delivery of marine pilots to vessels.

«The launch of this new pilot boat represents a significant step in strengthening our fleet and enhancing port operations,» said the head of the AMPU, Oleksandr Semirha.

The boat is named after Serhiy Cheberyakov, an experienced pilot who dedicated over 18 years to maritime affairs and trained many professionals. He tragically lost his life in 2023 while attempting to escape from the occupied territory of Kherson region.

In December 2024, the pilot boat «Bolotin» began operations on the Danube, constructed with the support of the USAID Program, while the building of a third boat is ongoing in Izmir, Turkey.
