The Odesa region ranks first in Ukraine for grape production, contributing 58% of the national yield. Despite the ongoing war, significant growth is observed in the agricultural sector.

Odesa's Leadership

In addition to grape cultivation, Odesa leads in the number of sheep and goats, with 28% of these animals residing in our region. We also rank first in barley production, accounting for 18% of the national total. Good results are also noted in wheat and rapeseed production, both at 11%.

Growth During Conflict

Despite the difficult economic situation, Odesa has achieved a significant increase in crop cultivation and sheep farming over the past three years of war, amounting to +8.6%. Meanwhile, some regions are experiencing declines in these sectors. For instance, Mykolaiv shows a -16.8% rate, Sumy -14.9%, and Chernihiv -6.7%. The highest growth was recorded in Kyiv region (+23.2%).
