With the arrival of spring, the efficiency of solar power stations in Ukraine has increased, and energy experts are urging citizens to utilize powerful electrical appliances during the day.

This information was provided by the press service of "Ukrenergo".

"It is crucial to follow the recommendations for shifting energy consumption to daytime hours, especially on sunny days. Please use powerful electrical appliances from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, when the energy system needs it the most," the statement reads.

Energy experts explain that during the day, the active operation of solar power stations creates a surplus of power in the energy system, necessitating restrictions on their operation.

In the evening peak hours, however, solar energy is no longer available and must be replaced by other types of generation.

Moreover, overcoming the surplus power in the energy system during the day is challenging through exports, as neighboring countries may have similar or greater solar capacities than Ukraine.

"Currently, the difference between cloudy and sunny days corresponds to the capacity of several energy blocks of large thermal power plants," they added at "Ukrenergo".

On cloudy and cold days, energy experts advised shifting electricity consumption to evening and nighttime hours due to generation limitations during peak consumption periods.
