For April 21, an elevated fire hazard level is predicted in the Odesa region. Due to weather conditions, rapid fire spread is possible in case of ignition. Meteorologists urge citizens to exercise extreme caution with fire.

This is reported by the Hydro-Meteorological Center of the Black and Azov Seas.

"Weather conditions will likely increase the probability of fire occurrences in ecosystems where ignition sources are present," the meteorologists' statement reads.

Fire Hazard in Odesa

According to meteorologists, the danger will persist and spread across nearly the entire territory of the Odesa region. A high level of danger is declared in the following settlements:

  • Lyubashivka;
  • Zatyshshia;
  • Serbka;
  • Rozdilna;
  • Sarata;
  • Bolhrad;
  • Vylkove;
  • Izmail.

Behavior Guidelines During Fire Hazard

To prevent fires, certain behavioral rules should be followed:

  • Do not burn dry grass or leaves on household plots, as this can lead to uncontrollable burning;
  • Avoid open flames near dry vegetation and farm buildings;
  • Do not discard cigarette butts or matches on dry ground;
  • Avoid visiting forests due to the risk of encountering explosive materials that contaminate large areas of Ukraine.

If a fire is detected, immediately notify the Rescue Service at 101.

Experts also emphasize that in hot and windy weather, even a single spark can lead to a significant ecological disaster.
