Service members of the Maritime Guard of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine joined the volunteer project «Donor Odesa» and organized a collective blood donation.

The joint efforts of the border guards and volunteers will help save numerous lives. This is crucial in the current time when the demand for donor blood remains very high due to the ongoing war.

«We understand how essential it is to have blood reserves. In wartime conditions, this is a priceless resource that can save the lives of our comrades, injured civilians, and every Ukrainian in need of urgent medical assistance,» say the border guards who contributed to replenishing the city's blood bank.

This is not the first time the maritime border guards have participated in such an initiative; they believe that assistance should be continuous, not just a one-time act.

Today, blood donation represents another line of defense for Ukraine.

The event was part of the city charitable project «Weeks of Good Deeds».

The photographs were taken by Boris Buhman, an Honorary Donor.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the «Donor Odesa» project has been actively engaging blood donors for medical institutions in the city and conducting educational and cultural events aimed at promoting donation. During this time, over 12,000 blood donations have been made thanks to the project, saving thousands of lives.

It is extremely important today for everyone who can donate blood to participate in this cause.
