Key Highlights:

  • A recruitment center for the Ground Forces has opened in Odesa;
  • The center offers a comprehensive range of services for those wishing to enlist, including the “18-24” contract;
  • Veterans assist recruits in choosing their roles;
  • Service can be chosen specifically in Odesa.

Odesa has joined the cities that host the Armed Forces recruitment center.

The center is part of a network that already includes Kyiv, Lviv, and Dnipro. It was established in 2024 under the initiative of the Ministry of Defense and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to simplify the enlistment process. This was reported by the center's press service.

The center is open to anyone wishing to use their skills in the military: drivers, medics, technical specialists, pilots of FPV drones.

Some advantages offered by the center include:

the ability to complete all necessary documents on-site, including signing a contract under the “18-24” project – from creating personal files to undergoing psychological tests;

a full range of services that were previously only available in-person at the office in Kyiv.

It is noted that the center is staffed by combat veterans who know from experience what to advise recruits during their role selection in the defense forces.

“Working at the train station is indeed effective. Our candidates, who wish to enlist but cannot travel to Kyiv, come here, register at our mobile points, and join the Ground Forces,” says senior officer Dmitro Andreychik, head of the mobile point.

If a person wants to serve specifically in Odesa, it is possible, the military confirms:

“We will look specifically for the city of Odesa, not for the Kyiv region or the Sumy direction.”
