A significant fire broke out in the Odessa region. A large area was engulfed in flames, affecting dry grass and wheat. More than 20 firefighters, using 5 vehicles, fought against the blaze. This information was reported by the emergency services press office.
The incident occurred yesterday, June 18, during the day outside the village of Tykhe. The fire consumed dry grass and wheat at its roots. Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames over an area of 1.7 hectares. Additionally, a wheat field covering 100 hectares was saved.
"Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are currently being investigated. The emergency services deployed 2 units of equipment and 11 rescuers, while the national guard's fire department contributed 1 vehicle and 4 personnel, along with 2 units of local equipment and 6 individuals from the community", the emergency services reported.
