A new inclusive sports facility has been unveiled on the Black Sea coast in Odessa.

This site, located at the «Dolphin» beach, is part of a comprehensive initiative aimed at enhancing the sports infrastructure in the region.

From the moment it opened, various sports activities took place here. On the upper level, participants engaged in warm-ups before a boxing match, along with karate classes. The middle area became a hub for sambo, table tennis, and wushu. The lower level allowed veterans and individuals with disabilities to test inclusive exercise equipment, and included a master class in adaptive Muay Thai led by world champion Vasyl Sorokin.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Odessa's mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov, local government representatives, veterans, athletes, and community members.

The mayor emphasized the importance of accessible sports infrastructure in inspiring the community towards healthier living, especially during challenging times. He noted that the realization of this project was made possible through collaboration among government, business, and active community members.

«This space has been created by those who work quietly yet significantly change the city. It meets all accessibility standards for residents, visitors, individuals with disabilities, and veterans who require physical activity and support,» stated Hennadiy Trukhanov.

The inclusive sports facility is equipped with 12 modern exercise machines, a boxing ring, a crossfit area, a gymnastics complex, and everything necessary for enjoyable and effective sports practices.
