In Odesa, a project is underway to mark an accessibility route aimed at enhancing usability.

The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy has unveiled a fresh visual identity for communications as part of the execution of the National Strategy for creating an accessible environment by 2030.

This visual identity consists of:

  • a unique logo;
  • standardized guidelines for fonts and colors;
  • a visual concept,
  • based on six dimensions of accessibility:
  • physical,
  • informational,
  • educational,
  • digital,
  • civic,
  • economic.

Each dimension is represented by a distinct point in the logo. Together, they create a circle — a symbol of unity, inclusion, and equal access for all, regardless of abilities.

Currently, this logo is being used for marking the accessibility route in Odesa.

This initiative is a crucial part of a larger project initiated by the Mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, as part of the pilot project «Barrier-Free Movement». The marking work is being carried out by expert groups from the Council of Accessibility, involving people with disabilities, urbanists, and accessibility specialists.
