On August 19, 2025, a significant meeting was held to determine locations for mobile shelters in areas with potential crowd gatherings (as directed by Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov).

The meeting was attended by Acting Deputy Mayor Serhiy Kotsyuba and advisor on accessibility issues Oleksiy Morozov.

Also present were department heads: Director of the Department of Education and Science Olena Buynovych, Director of the Department of Labor and Social Policy Olena Kytayska, and Director of the Department of Internal Policy Oleksandr Zhiltsov.

“Our goal is to provide Odesa residents with a secure environment in places where people gather. It is crucial to quickly identify suitable locations and ensure their compliance with safety standards,” stated Serhiy Kotsyuba.

Key issues include verifying the compliance of existing mobile shelters with standards and selecting priority locations for their placement.

“Accessibility in safety matters is fundamental. Mobile shelters must be available for persons with disabilities and all mobility-impaired groups,” emphasized Oleksiy Morozov.

Following the meeting, the relevant departments will prepare proposals for locations and provide coordinated information regarding the technical condition and compliance of mobile shelters with requirements.
