In Odessa, inspections of beaches are underway as part of a joint order from the Odessa Regional Military Administration and the operational-strategic command «Odessa» to ensure safety compliance.

According to the directive from the head of the regional military administration, beaches can only be opened during wartime after fulfilling all safety measures and receiving the appropriate act from the Odessa District Military Administration.

Last week, inspections revealed that 11 beaches in Odessa were operating without official permits. Additionally, on August 19, three more beaches in the Kyiv district were found to be violating the order.

These beaches included: «Nadiya» (between the collector and traverse N 17 of the second stage of the PZS), «Chayka» (between traverses N 6-A and N 6-B of the second stage of the PZS), and the beach at the 15th station of the Great Fountain (LLC «Atlant Sea Group»), located between traverses 14 and 15.

The City Department of Engineering Protection of the Territory and Coastal Development has prepared the appropriate acts, and tenants have been issued orders to immediately rectify the violations. All documents will be forwarded to the district and regional military administrations for further action.

The city authorities reiterate: the operation of beaches without the official permit from the OVA is a serious violation of the law, posing a danger to vacationers as it directly threatens their health and lives.

Inspections of beaches will continue, encompassing not only safety requirements but also ensuring free access along the water's edge.

Moreover, the Barrier-Free Council is conducting inspections of beaches to assess accessibility for persons with disabilities and individuals with limited mobility.
