Odesa hosted a significant national meeting of accessibility ambassadors, with representatives from various regions participating. The first meeting was held in Kyiv.

The event was opened by the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Kuleba, UNICEF Representative in Ukraine Munir Mamedzade, and the President's Advisor on Accessibility, Tetiana Lomakina.

Odesa was represented by Valentina Khoruzha, head of the Youth Council under the Mayor, who shared experiences in creating accessible environments and established connections with ambassadors from other regions.

“I am proud to be part of the team working on the 'Barrier-Free Movement' project,” said Valentina Khoruzha.

The 'Barrier-Free Movement' project is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Community Development, under Olena Zelenska's initiative, being implemented in 15 pilot communities to ensure safe routes to essential social facilities for people with limited mobility.
