Odesa organized an awareness campaign for European Anti-Trafficking Day.

Every year on October 18, European countries observe this day, initiated by the European Commission in 2007 to raise awareness about modern slavery. In the context of the ongoing war in Ukraine, the issue of human trafficking has become particularly pressing. The conflict has increased risks such as a rise in displaced persons, unemployment, and forced relocation.
Ahead of this day, the Department of Labor and Social Policy of the Odesa City Council held an event to draw attention to the issue of human trafficking under wartime conditions. The aim was to raise public awareness about the risks of exploitation and protective measures.
The event included representatives from social services, NGOs, legal aid organizations, and students from Odesa State University of Internal Affairs. Information materials were distributed, and consultations were provided.
Everyone can contribute to combating human trafficking by being vigilant and spreading accurate information about this issue.
