The grand finale of the Bulgarian Culture Week in Odesa was a festive concert. On November 1st, the Day of National Revival, we celebrated this holiday that unites all Bulgarians worldwide.

The Consul General of the Republic of Bulgaria addressed the audience with greetings and presented acknowledgments for contributions to the development of Bulgarian culture.

«Throughout the festival, we had the chance to experience the rich heritage of the Bulgarian people — music, literature, and folk art. These events vividly illustrate our cultural ties, our intertwined stories and traditions. Bulgaria has made a significant contribution to the development of Odesa, and today the Bulgarian community remains an integral part of our society», emphasized Igor Koval, the acting mayor of Odesa.

The concert featured the renowned folk singer and composer from the Macedonian folklore region, Iliya Lukov — a legend of Bulgarian folk music known for his various initiatives supporting Bulgarian identity both in Bulgaria and abroad.

Folk ensembles from Odesa also took the stage, sharing warmth, sincerity, and the richness of Ukrainian-Bulgarian cultural connections with the audience.
