During the full-scale invasion, the Netherlands generously donated 42,000 tulip bulbs to Odessa, which have been beautifying the city and delighting its residents for two consecutive springs.

In 2024, thanks to the collaboration between the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in the Netherlands, Mr. Emil de Sevren Jaquet, and the head of the Tulip Promotion Netherlands association, Mr. Arjan Smit, Ukrainian communities received 450,000 tulips.

These enchanting flowers adorned the flowerbeds of Kyiv, Odessa, Lviv, Bucha, and other cities. This time, Mr. Arjan Smit arrived with a new initiative from Dutch entrepreneurs to gift one million tulips to Ukraine in 2025.

Mr. Arjan Smit visited the office of the Municipal Greenery Trust, where they discussed the quantity and timing of the planting material provision.

Additionally, during a meeting with the Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Culture, and Marketing, Ivan Liptuga, other areas of future collaboration with the Netherlands were also discussed.
