The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has stated that Iran plays a destructive role on the international stage, notably by supporting Russia's aggressive actions against Ukraine.
Ukraine is closely monitoring the developments in the Middle East, particularly due to Israel's strikes on Iranian targets.
Recognizing the risks of further destabilization, we note that an escalation of conflict may threaten international security and financial stability, especially in the oil markets.
It is crucial to prevent further destabilization of the region and protect civilian lives.
The Foreign Ministry emphasized that the continuation of fighting could have negative consequences for global stability. It also noted that Iran continues to support Russia by supplying weapons used to attack Ukrainians.
The Ministry stressed that Iran is a source of many problems in the region.
We are convinced that restoring peace and stability in the Middle East will serve the interests not only of the region but of the global community. Security in Europe is directly connected to security in the Middle East. In this context, we urge the international community to take decisive actions to address current threats.
In light of the worsening situation, the Foreign Ministry has urged Ukrainians to refrain from traveling to these countries, including Israel, Iran, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria, until the situation stabilizes.
Citizens currently in these countries are advised to follow safety measures, closely monitor local authorities' information, and always carry identification documents.
