One of the 15 projects outlined in the intergovernmental agreement with South Korea involves the construction of a waste incineration plant in Odesa.

This was announced by the city's deputy mayor, Anna Pozdniakova.

The plant will be a significant component of an international environmental initiative.

According to Deputy Mayor Anna Pozdniakova, the agreement for the plant's construction was signed on July 11 in Rome. The project is included in a list of 15 initiatives agreed upon under the intergovernmental agreement between Ukraine and the Republic of Korea.

Initial discussions regarding cooperation with the South Korean company POSCO began in Warsaw and continued in Kyiv at the ministry level. The official noted that the project aims to create a modern, eco-friendly facility that will not only process waste but also generate energy. This will be a crucial step towards the city's energy independence and addressing waste disposal issues.
