On October 7, an online seminar titled «Building Cultural and Tourism Connections between Bristol (West England) and Odesa (Ukraine)» was held, organized with the support of Odesa's city council advisor, Tetyana Markova. This event marked a significant step towards a long-term collaboration between the two UNESCO Creative Cities.

«The United Kingdom is not just a partner; it is a true friend of Ukraine, supporting us in our most challenging times. Odesa has always been open to the world, and we are excited to begin active engagement with the West England region and the city of Bristol. We are united by creativity, cultural richness, and a shared desire to shape the future together,» stated Odesa's Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.

Paul Goggin, advisor to the Bristol City Council, shared his impressions from his visit to Odesa, describing it as a «city with unique architecture, warm-hearted people, and unforgettable flavors.»

Participants of the seminar included representatives from city councils of both countries, cultural institutions, tourism organizations, film industry, and festivals.

Priority areas include creating joint projects, festivals, participation of Odesa artists in Bristol events, exchange programs for students and young creatives, collaboration with the Visit West tourism platform, and the restoration of historical monuments in Odessa that were damaged during the war.

The British side confirmed its readiness for humanitarian support and economic cooperation.
