Law enforcement has charged a 23-year-old man and imposed a preventive measure.

The arrest took place in the Khadzhybey district, where police discovered a man placing «drops». The investigative team seized a packet containing a psychoactive substance, confirmed by an express test. Additionally, eight more wraps with similar content were found. All substances have been sent for examination. Police also seized the suspect's phone for further investigation.

Investigators established that the young man acquired the illegal goods from an unidentified person he met online and began distributing them through drops.

With sufficient evidence, he was charged under part 2 of article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for illegal acquisition and storage with intent to distribute psychoactive substances. The potential penalty is up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The court imposed house arrest as a preventive measure. The source of the prohibited substance's origin is being established.

The investigation continues under the supervision of the Malinovsky district prosecutor's office in Odessa.
