Law enforcement officers have seized dangerous items that were illegally sold, and a suspect has been arrested. He faces serious penalties.
Police officials documented a case where a 33-year-old man sold ammunition twice to an unfamiliar individual. Initially, he sold 50 rounds of firearm ammunition, followed by three grenade bodies and their fuses.
With the assistance of explosives experts, the dangerous items were seized and sent for examination. Experts confirmed their classification as military ammunition.
During the investigation, the suspect was detained and charged with illegal acquisition, possession, and sale of ammunition without the required permits. According to Ukrainian law, this crime can result in up to seven years in prison.
The court has placed the suspect under detention with the possibility of bail set at 60,560 UAH, which he has utilized.
Law enforcement will continue the investigation to determine the source of the ammunition possessed by the suspect.
The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the Primorsky District Prosecutor's Office in Odessa.
