On January 31, in the Kyiv district, two men committed serious offenses during an air raid alarm.

Law enforcement discovered the scenes where they found two boxes of fireworks containing 30 shots.

The investigation revealed that the crimes were committed by unemployed individuals aged 48 and 37 with criminal records.

The younger man received an offer via messenger to launch fireworks in crowded places for a monetary reward of four thousand hryvnias.

Agreeing to the terms, he recruited an accomplice from his acquaintances. They chose sports grounds near schools on Lustdorf Road and Sim'yi Glodan Street where large crowds usually gather.

In the evening, during the air raid alarm, the offenders brazenly activated one pyrotechnic device and then another, ignoring the ban on using pyrotechnics during martial law, filmed the act as evidence, and fled.

They sent a "report" to their client expecting payment, but they never received any reward.

“We gathered enough evidence to classify the actions of the suspects as hooliganism, which involves gross violations of public order with clear disrespect for society, characterized by particular audacity. This crime is classified under part 2 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty is imprisonment for up to four years,” stated Oleg Zoshchuk, head of the investigative department of police station No. 4 in Odesa District Police Department No. 1.

The pre-trial investigation continues under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv District Prosecutor's Office in Odesa.
