From November 17 to 19, 2025, the Judo Championship for cadets under 17 years took place in Uzhhorod.

More than 500 athletes born between 2009 and 2011 participated from 21 regions of Ukraine.

The Odesa regional team included trainees from the Comprehensive Children and Youth Sports School No. 15 in Odesa.

In the 73 kg weight category, Vladimir Sorvachov won a silver medal, while Yuri Pinchuk became a bronze medalist in the 66 kg category.

The athletes were coached by trainer Hennadiy Yaremenko.

There are 143 young athletes training in the judo sections of the municipal youth sports schools in Odesa.
