A new Mental Health Center has been established at Odesa City Clinical Hospital No. 10 with the goal of providing residents with accessible, high-quality psychological support in outpatient settings.

This Center started operating last year as part of the outpatient rehabilitation department and has functioned as a separate unit since 2025. Psychological assistance remains a crucial aspect of rehabilitation programs.

Patients receive help from a multidisciplinary team that includes: a psychiatrist, psychophysiologist, psychotherapist, medical psychologist, and clinical psychologists.

When necessary, health care chaplains and social workers are involved, allowing for a broad range of mental health support and crisis intervention services.

The Center provides specialized psychiatric and psychological counseling to patients, including those affected by the war, defenders of Ukraine, and veterans. Support is also offered to the families of affected individuals.

Additionally, the Center hosts group and individual mental health activities, offers training for medical staff at the hospital, and conducts workshops on ethical communication and burnout prevention.

The operation of the Mental Health Center at Hospital No. 10 showcases a successful example of integrating psychological, psychiatric, and psychosocial care within the health care network.

Referrals to the Mental Health Center are made by psychiatrists or family doctors.
