A new phase in the development of educational technology has begun in Ukraine. The Association of Innovative and Digital Education (AIDE), with support from UNICEF, has already opened 46 digital educational centers, 19 of which were established in the Odessa region thanks to the efforts of the Odessa Regional State Administration.

The primary goal of these centers is to provide students who have lost the opportunity for traditional learning due to military actions or other circumstances with access to quality education.

These educational hubs help students catch up on their studies, offer psychosocial support, organize life skills lessons, and other engaging activities using modern digital platforms.

Today marks an important event! New digital educational centers have been opened in the Mayaki community based at the local lyceum and in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi based at Gymnasium No. 2.

The opening was attended by representatives of the Odessa Regional State Administration, as well as coordinators of educational projects from UNICEF and AIDE.

At DLS No. 25 (village Mayaki), guests familiarized themselves with the center's resources, discussed its future development, and visited lessons with eleventh-graders focused on addressing gaps in mathematics knowledge using artificial intelligence.

At DLS No. 17, coordinators introduced guests to the various services available for teachers and students for learning and personal development.

During the opening, children showcased their skills through quizzes and played “Minecraft Education,” which helps them understand and solve real-life situations.

“We are committed to enhancing education for youth. Recently, we have significantly improved the conditions for students to access in-person education by creating safe and comfortable environments. The establishment of these digital educational centers for schoolchildren is an important part of that effort. We are grateful to our partners – UNICEF and AIDE for their collaboration,” said Anton Shalyhai.
