In Odesa, preparations for the inclusive beach at Delfin are underway, as confirmed by Maria Popova, a representative of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights.
Currently, work is ongoing to install walkways, and all recreational areas are being regularly inspected for accessibility. Officials work alongside experts from the Barrier-Free Council, which includes veterans and individuals with disabilities.
Maria Popova verified that the preparations are proceeding well, and the city is set to address all operational issues regarding the beach, including water supply and sewage.
“We expect the opening of the upgraded inclusive beach to proceed without any obstacles,” she stated.
Head of the Primorsky District Administration, Marat Korolyov, noted that another inclusive beach is being prepared for opening this season at the 11th station of the Great Fountain, with renovations currently in progress.
All matters concerning the preparation of inclusive locations are under the personal control of the Mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov.
It is worth mentioning that 2025 has been declared the Year of Accessibility in Odesa.
