On May 20, 2025, the international conference «Odesa Speaks on Autism» commenced in Odesa, bringing together specialists and experts from countries including the UK, Germany, the USA, and Ukraine. 

The event focused on discussing pressing issues related to Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and effective methods of social adaptation for children with special educational needs. 

Conference participants shared experiences, discussed modern approaches to rehabilitation, education, and support for children with autism, and formed new professional partnerships aimed at creating an inclusive society. 

The Odesa City Council is already implementing a range of initiatives to support individuals with ASD and their families. However, the demand for such services is increasing, necessitating the city to continuously improve its support system and expand the range of assistance offered. 

During the event, honorary certificates and awards were presented on behalf of the Odesa mayor to specialists who work daily in the field of social adaptation and rehabilitation of children with autism.
