On June 3rd, Ruslan Prykhodko, the Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, arrived in Odesa for a working visit to explore inclusive initiatives in the city.

The purpose of this visit was to assess the preparations for the wellness season and to review various inclusive locations.

During the visit, representatives from the Ministry were briefed on the work of the Barrier-Free Council in Odesa. A significant project highlighted was the creation of an inclusive route named «North-South» as part of the National project «Movement Without Barriers,» which is being implemented in 15 cities across Ukraine under the patronage of the First Lady Olena Zelenska.

The Deputy Minister commended the efforts to establish a barrier-free environment in Odesa, which involves collaboration with veterans and people with disabilities. Notably, the new inclusive sports ground at «Dolphin» offers facilities adapted for individuals with disabilities to engage in sports.

Additionally, Ruslan Prykhodko met with Odesa's adaptive rowers who participate in various international competitions.

He also expressed a desire to meet with Odesa's veterans at upcoming meetings of the Barrier-Free Council.
