On the occasion of Defender's Day in Ukraine, the nation has paid tribute to those who stood up to protect their homeland during the toughest times. This was announced by the head of the regional military administration, Oleg Kiper.

Three veterans, who showed bravery in battle, have been awarded the President of Ukraine's distinction “For the Defense of Ukraine” and continue to support their comrades in civilian life:

• Volodymyr Yermakov – head of the “Veteran HUB” Odesa;
• Valerii Serbin – deputy head of the “Veteran HUB”  Odesa;
• Artem Nazimkin – specialist in supporting war veterans and demobilized individuals  Odesa.

The awards were presented on behalf of the President of Ukraine by the Minister for Veterans Affairs, Nataliia Kalmykova. Thank you to our warriors! Odesa region is proud of you!
