French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot described the recent meeting in Paris on April 17 as a crucial step in France's diplomatic efforts, bringing together representatives from the USA, Europe, and Ukraine at one table.

In an interview with LCI, cited by "European Truth," Barrot emphasized the importance of this meeting, which included delegates from Ukraine, the UK, France, Germany, and the USA.

"This is a significant diplomatic achievement for France, as it is the first time Americans, Ukrainians, and Europeans have come together to discuss common issues," he noted.

Barrot also added that these discussions are vital for achieving the goal of peace.

"We must continue the dialogue. Americans are keen to end the conflict," he continued, stating that the USA "is listening" and seeks a ceasefire.

It was reported that on April 17, French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed an American delegation at the Élysée Palace. A meeting was also held in Paris between the Ukrainian delegation and representatives from other countries.

US Special Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg reported on the "very productive" talks in Paris and shared a photo with the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
