The mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, met with Volodymyr Luzhetskyi, the commander of the 3rd mechanized battalion of the 28th separate mechanized brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign, along with his comrades.

This brigade has already received over 138 million hryvnias in aid from Odesa. Currently, the soldiers are defending Ukraine in the challenging Donetsk region. The city has received a new request for assistance from the fighters, which will be processed promptly.

This year, Odesa's budget allocated 206 million 093 thousand hryvnias for defense forces support, including 10 million for the 28th brigade. Last year, Odesa transferred nearly 1.42 billion hryvnias to the military.

The city continues to operate and assist Ukrainian defenders.
