On the evening of April 21, 2025, Odessa experienced a devastating drone strike in a heavily populated part of the city. Fires broke out.
The assault resulted in significant damage to residential buildings, civilian infrastructure, and vehicles. Additionally, three schools in the city had over 90 windows shattered. Two of those schools are currently operating remotely.
Information on casualties is being updated.
The city mayor, along with emergency and municipal services, arrived at the scene.
An operational headquarters will be established by the district administration in the morning, providing guidance on how to submit documents for material assistance to restore windows and doors, and to receive compensation from the state budget under the eRecovery program.
Moreover, reliable partners - public and charitable organizations - will assist affected individuals by providing kits for temporarily sealing window openings.
