In the night from Saturday to Sunday, June 8, 2025, Russian occupation forces launched an attack on the Odessa region using the anti-ship missile «Onyx», while Mykolaiv was targeted by two guided X-59 missiles.

This was reported by the Air Command «South».

Recall that around two o'clock in the morning, an air raid alert sounded in Odessa and the surrounding area. Monitoring Telegram channels reported that an enemy Su aircraft fired a missile, likely towards Chabanivka, where two explosions were heard shortly after.

Later, reports indicated the launch of two more missiles by the Russians targeting Southern and Chabanivka, but these targets soon disappeared from radar, and after the all-clear at 1:33, no air raid alert was declared in the region.

The command «South» also reported that during this night, the southern air defense of Ukraine intercepted 13 enemy strike drones of the Shahed type and other types of UAVs.
